February 26, 2015 - A Suffolk County Police officer saved a Nesconset boy who was suffering from an allergic reaction by injecting him with an EpiPen at his home yesterday. Fourth Precinct Police Officer Robert Fulton responded to 31 Lincoln Ave. after a 911 caller reported a 12-year-old boy was suffering from a severe allergic reaction after eating a candy bar that contained nuts at approximately 3:25 p.m. When Officer Fulton arrived, he applied oxygen and, after receiving permission from Stony Brook Medical Control, administered a single injection from an EpiPen prescribed for the boy, Gavin Oggeri.

February 23rd, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a three-car crash caused by icy road conditions that seriously injured an Islip man early Sunday morning. Neil Wade was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on the Long Island Expressway between exits 48 and 49 when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and struck the center divider at approximately 3 a.m. Moments later, Wade's vehicle was struck by a 2011 Toyota pickup truck, which also slid on the icy roadway, pushing the Trailblazer into Wade, who had exited his vehicle to inspect the damaged.

It has been a six-year wait but once again a Riverhead wrestler stood atop the podium at the 76th Doctor L. Robert Fallot Suffolk County championship at Hofstra University on Sunday night. The Blue Waves' Ed Matyka used a reversal in the second overtime period at 120 pounds to defeat top-seeded Ben Tepperman of Hauppauge, 7-5.
