February 23rd, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a three-car crash caused by icy road conditions that seriously injured an Islip man early Sunday morning. Neil Wade was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on the Long Island Expressway between exits 48 and 49 when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and struck the center divider at approximately 3 a.m. Moments later, Wade's vehicle was struck by a 2011 Toyota pickup truck, which also slid on the icy roadway, pushing the Trailblazer into Wade, who had exited his vehicle to inspect the damaged.
