A Suffolk County police officer is recovering after being involved in a car crash when another vehicle ran a red a light and t-boned the police cruiser, authorities said Wednesday. The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Old Town Road and Route 347 in Port Jefferson Station .
