Traffic stop ends in arrest of Mastic Beach man on license suspensions, drug charges, cops say

A routine traffic stop by a Suffolk County police officer on Saturday afternoon netted a man with 41 license suspensions and drugs stashed inside his body, police said. Officer Matthew DeWitt was patrolling Sunrise Highway in Yaphank around 2 p.m. when he pulled over a Chrysler minivan that was being driven erratically.
