Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives seeks the public's assistance to identify and locate the driver of an SUV that struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in Mastic Beach. A female pedestrian was walking on Pineway Avenue, just east of Mill Drive, when she was struck by a dark-colored SUV at about 8 p.m. on Jan. 23. The driver of the SUV, which was traveling eastbound on Pineway Avenue at the time of the accident, fled the scene.
