Earlier this month, one of the nation's best perishable merchants, Stew Leonard's, announced that it will be building its first store on Long Island. The company said the new store - its fifth overall - is scheduled to open early next year in the Airport Plaza shopping center in Farmingdale, NY, just inside the Suffolk County line.
