Police are looking for a man who they said stole a Sony Bluetooth speaker from a Target store on Horseblock Road in Medford on April 11. The speaker is valued at $199, Suffolk County police said. Two days after that incident, police said the man stole a Bose Soundbar valued at $449 from the same store.

Motorcyclists ride to Manorville for annual 'Blessing of the Bikes' event

Elevated about 20-feet in the air in the bucket of a firetruck, a Roman Catholic priest bestowed blessings and holy water on an estimated 400 motorcyclists who traveled from across Long Island Sunday for the 12th annual Riders of Fire bike blessing in Manorville. The nonprofit group is made up of firefighters from across Long Island who also are off-duty motorcycle enthusiasts.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Rocky Point woman for driving while intoxicated with a 13-year-old female child in the vehicle last evening. According to police, Colleen Lopez, 47, was driving a 2003 Chevy Tahoe on Patchogue Yaphank Road when she was observed by a patrol officer assigned to DWI Enforcement as a member of the Safe-T Team at 8:40 p.m. An investigation by the officer revealed that Lopez was under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger 15 Years Old or Younger in violation of Leandra's Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
