The Suffolk County SPCA is trying to determine who left a female Labrador mix to die in a crate found near a Brookhaven Town park. The animal protection group said Wednesday the dog was found Tuesday, emaciated and inside a crate in a wooded area near Martha Avenue Recreation Park in North Bellport.
