Police: Man Shot, Killed While Sitting in His Car in Wyandanch

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was shot to death while sitting in a parked car outside of his house in Wyandanch Saturday evening, police say. According to police, Vernon Brown, 32, was sitting in the passenger seat of a car with a friend in front of 74 S. 31st St., when a male on a bicycle approached the car and fired one shot into the vehicle, hitting Brown.
