Cause of fire at Suffolk County clerk's records site investigated

The Suffolk County police arson squad is investigating the cause of a fire that occurred Jan. 26 on the second floor of a records annex at the county clerk's office in Riverhead. Nicole DeLuca, spokeswoman for Clerk Judith Pascale, said no records were destroyed because the sprinkler system kicked in immediately and the Riverhead Fire Department responded within minutes.
