Seven students from Smithtown High Schools East and West were recently honored at the annual Suffolk County Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Day. Coordinated by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island, the event honors students who work to create a more civil society through volunteering, building ties across different communities and intergenerational projects.
