Suffolk County police's Vehicular Crime Unit is investigating a crash that killed a woman walking in Bay Shore on Tuesday night. Police said Ishwer Wadhwa was crossing 5th Avenue when she was hit by a 2000 Nissan Maxima traveling south at 8:47 p.m. The driver, Jerson Ventura, 32, of Wyandanch, drove to the Third Precinct to report the crash, police said in a news release.
