May 21st, 2015 - Three William Floyd Middle School students Sophia Chinea, Casey Kriss and Gillian Hicks recently competed in the third annual Junior Iron Chef Competition held at Whole Foods Market in Lake Grove . The event, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, is designed to encourage Long Island's youth to learn new skills in cooking which will lead to a healthier lifestyle, promote the use of local food to support local farmers and the environment and more.
