High pressure building over Long Island and areas east generates mostly favorable water conditions Thursday and into early Friday, the National Weather Service said in its marine forecast. The service's Upton office said there is low potential for marginal wind gusts beginning late Friday afternoon over South Shore waters between Sandy Hook, New Jersey and Fire Island.
