The Southold Police Department will hire eight new officers after a unanimous vote at the town board meeting at Tuesday, SoutholdLocal reports. The new officers include: Jacob Bogden, Robert Haase, Jr., John Hinton, Michael Sirico and Garret Lake, who will begin next Monday, Nov. 24, Tara Tandy and Samuel Nitsch who will begin effective at the start of the Suffolk County Police Academy and Alex Chenche whose start date has not been set yet, according to SoutholdLocal.
