Suffolk County police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that likely will close Route 109 on the border of East Farmingdale and North Lindenhurst through the Friday morning rush hour, a department spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman said the accident was at 3:30 a.m. on Route 109 between Wellwood Avenue and the Southern State Parkway.
