Suffolk County Police are investigating an auto accident in Shirley that caused the closure of William Floyd Parkway around 10 p.m. All lanes of the roadway were closed at Robinwood Drive shortly after the accident was reported at 9:55, police said. One person was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, police said.
