Officials: Southbound Deer Park Ave. shut because of water main break

A water main break closed a section of Route 231, Deer Park Avenue, in Dix Hills early Wednesday, police said. The road was closed in both directions from the Long Island Expressway South Service Road to Half Hollow Road starting at 12:45 a.m., Suffolk County police and the New York State Department of Transportation said.
