Police looking for SUV in Yaphank hit-and-run of pedestrian

Suffolk County police's Seventh Precinct Crime Section and Crime Stoppers said Friday they are looking for a sport utility vehicle that hit and injured a pedestrian in Yaphank earlier this month. A man walking on the north shoulder of Yaphank Middle Island Road, between Main Street and the Middle Island Country Club, at about 6 p.m. on Jan. 18 was struck by the SUV, police said.
