SPCA offers reward in death of pit bull Jax

The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible in the death of an Islip Terrace family's pit bull. The animal protection agency said Tuesday that Jax, a male pit bull, was killed by a pellet shot to the chest.
