Riverhead Charter School, Suffolk's largest, opens new Calverton building

Suffolk County's largest charter school opened its new $14 million building in Calverton this month, a milestone officials said makes room for new growth at the 14-year-old institution. The Riverhead Charter School, which serves 360 K-8 students from 16 Long Island districts, began construction on the 50,000-square-foot building in September 2013.
