A Long Island man who served nearly 18 years in prison before his conviction for killing his wife in Vermont was overturned has died in a car crash. Suffolk County police say 52-year-old John Grega lost control of his Chevrolet van in Lake Ronkonkoma on Friday and hit a tree.
