A Suffolk County woman rifled through belongings in search of money in a coat room at Long Island Children's Museum, according to Nassau County Police. Detectives said Mary Elliott, 50, of Hauppauge, was visiting the museum at 2:40 p.m. Monday when she entered the self-serve coat check room.
