Riverhead High School wrestler Ed Matyka was recently honored after breaking the 100th win mark, becoming the Suffolk County Wrestling Champ, placing fourth at the New York State Championships and placing fifth at the Nationals earning the title of All American, which is attributed to the top eight wrestlers at this event. At the Suffolk County League IV Championships Matyka overcame a 5-0 deficit in the final half-minute of the third period and won his first county title in triple overtime at the Suffolk County Championships at Hofstra.
