Suffolk Police Officers Rescue Dog That Fell Through Icy Pond in Lake Ronkonkoma

When a dog fell through the ice at Spectacle Pond in Lake Ronkonkoma Thursday afternoon, four Suffolk County Police officers came to the rescue. Emergency Service officers Daniel Coan, Gerry Sheridan, Walter Justincic and Michael Simpson responded to the pond at about 4:10 p.m. after a 911 caller reported seeing a dog had fallen through the ice.
