Dangerous caiman surrendered on Long Island

A Long Islander turned in an illegally owned reptile to authorities and won't be charged, the Suffolk County SPCA said. The resident of Shirley, N.Y., surrendered a 3-foot smooth face caiman, a relative of the alligator, according to Chief Roy Gross.
