March 20th, 2015 - Four Suffolk County Police officers rescued a black Labrador that fell through the ice into a Lake Ronkonkoma pond yesterday. Emergency Service Officers Daniel Coan, Gerry Sheridan, Walter Justincic and Michael Simpson responded to Spectacle Pond at approximately 4:10 p.m. after a 911 caller reported seeing a dog had fallen through the ice.
