Drivers warned of potential icy conditions as precipitation wraps up on Long Island

Traffic on most major roadways was moving nicely during Monday's morning commute, after a Sunday winter storm dropped up to 7 inches of snow on some parts of Long Island. Travel signs on the Long Island Expressway warned drivers of icy conditions, and plows and salt trucks were still traveling the westbound LIE in Suffolk County, between Exits 49 and 50, as early as 4 a.m. Traffic on most major roadways was moving nicely during Monday's morning commute, after a Sunday winter storm dropped up to 7 inches of snow on some parts of Long Island.
