Burning garbage truck closes eastbound Sunrise Highway in Suffolk County

A garbage truck burning on Sunrise Highway on Friday afternoon led to a five-hour shutdown of eastbound lanes in Suffolk County, State Police said. The highway, off limits between Exit 62 in Eastport and Exit 63 in Westhampton, was reopened shortly before 7 p.m., authorities said.
