Modell's Sporting Goods, celebrating its 125 year anniversary, will hold a grand opening for its newest location at 1019 Montauk Highway in Shirley, Long Island, bringing their total to 157 storefronts. The Southport Shopping Center location will officially open its nearly 14,000 square foot doors on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. with a ceremonial ribbon cutting with President & CEO Mitchell Modell, Kate Browning, Suffolk County Legislator, Mayor Bill Biondi of Mastic Beach, and Brookhaven Deputy Town Supervisor, Dan Panico.
