Long Island Bus Riders Union Members Riding Buses From Queens To East Hampton

The Long Island Bus Riders Union began "Rate the Ride" event on Wednesday and will end up at the East Hampton Long Island Railroad Station on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. Several BRU members will be traveling from Jamaica, Queens to both North and South forks of Long Island using only Nassau and Suffolk County buses. "Our purpose is to demonstrate the importance of Long Island's public transportation system while bringing attention to the most common concerns and struggles that bus riders are facing, many of which include late or no-show buses," the BRU website reads.
