Family of NY man who died in cop custody settle suit for $2M

The family of Daniel McDonnell, who died after police allegedly used a Taser to subdue him and denied him medication, has settled for more than $2 million alawsuit against Suffolk County, NY. Suffolk County, N.Y., has agreed to pay a $2.25 million settlement to the family of a 40-year-old man with bipolar disorder and a heart condition who died in police custody after he was allegedly denied his medication, repeatedly Tasered and beaten by cops in a holding cell.
