Little League coach dies after hit by ball during practice in L.I.

A Little League coach was killed Saturday when he was nailed in the head by a line drive as he tossed batting practice for his son's team, Suffolk County authorities said. Richard Becher, 50, of Holbrook, was pitching warm-ups from behind a protective screen at Baseball Heaven in Yaphunk when he was hit by the ball around 5:30 p.m., police said.
