Cops: Search on for hit-run driver in North Amityville pedestrian accident

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a pedestrian late Sunday in North Amityville. Suffolk County police said the victim, identified only as a 24-year-old man, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with head lacerations.
