One person was treated for smoke inhalation, while nine others were placed into shelters by the Long Island Chapter of the American Red Cross, after a late-night house fire Monday in Bay Shore, police and fire officials said. No serious injuries were reported in the fire, which was reported at 10:04 p.m. and severely damaged the house on Gunther Avenue, Suffolk County officials said.
