The monster winter storm that dumped 30 inches of snow in some parts of Suffolk County and generated blizzard-like conditions ended early Wednesday morning, with the last snowflakes falling on Long Island's East End. "Maybe about an hour ago," said meteorologist Bill Goodman of the National Weather Service's Upton office at about 6 a.m., when he checked on the storm's final assault.
