New York town boss warns of fake tax assessors

A Long Island town executive says officials are investigating people claiming to be town tax assessors in order to gain access to residents' homes. Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine says police and prosecutors in Suffolk County are aware of letter sent Friday falsely claiming town workers would be inspecting properties Saturday.
