A 21-year-old woman was killed Wednesday after breaking down on the side of Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore , Suffolk County police said. Authorities said Jessica Ortiz had been sitting in her car in the right shoulder of westbound Sunrise Highway near exit 43 in Bay Shore around 12:30 p.m. when a Chevrolet Caprice slammed into her sedan.
