Amityville trustees approve benefits change for some village firefighters

The Amityville Volunteer Fire Department was organized into a village department in 1905 under fire chief Milford Ketcham and became one of the first in Suffolk County to use motorized fire trucks. The file photo taken on June 5, 2011 shows the firehouse.
