After violating the terms of a court program designed to give convicted drug addicts a chance at drug rehabilitation, 24 year old Brittany Ozarowski, a heroin addict who falsely claimed she had cancer to collect money to support her drug habit, was sentenced to one to three years in prison this morning, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said. Ozarowski was arrested 25 months ago when her scam was uncovered, a scheme that at its pinnacle encouraged donations to the defendant via her website and Paypal account.
