The new owner of the former East Hampton Bowl building on Montauk Highway, which closed down in 2013, is hoping to demolish and replace the building, whose roof recently collapsed due to the heavy snow back in January. Before going through with the plan, owner Jeffrey Suchman would need to get a variance to exceed its lot coverage limitation from the East Hampton Village Zoning Board of Appeals as well as seek approval from the East Hampton Village design review board, the Suffolk County Department of Health Services and the State Department of Transportation, according to The East Hampton Star.
