LIRR train strikes car in Patchogue; crash is 2nd in 24 hours

A Long Island Rail Road train struck an unauthorized vehicle on railroad tracks in Patchogue on March 3, 2015. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital after the crash at the Rider Avenue grade crossing just after noon, Suffolk County police said.
