Feds call for crossing crackdown after third NY train collision

Suffolk County Police and the LIRR Police were dispatched to the railroad crossing for a vehicle that was struck at the railroad crossing with injury. Federal regulators on Tuesday called for a national crackdown on drivers who ignore warnings at railroad grade crossings - after a third MTA train in the past month struck a vehicle, authorities said.
