DEC Temporarily Closes Shellfishing Areas in Portions of Nassau and Suffolk Counties

Long Island, NY - May 1st, 2014 - Shellfish harvesting areas in many towns in Nassau and Suffolk counties have been designated as uncertified for shellfish harvesting effective immediately on , the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced today.
