Suffolk County police identified Ben Mendolia, 32, of Mastic, as the man who robbed the TD Bank branch in Shirley on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Mendolia was linked to the crime following his arrest in a separate incident on Wednesday, May 6, after he allegedly stole copper pipe from a Home Depot in Copiague.
