Officials: 2 Deer Park stores damaged in fire

At least two stores in a small strip mall in Deer Park were heavily damaged by fire late Wednesday night, Suffolk County fire officials said. The fire, reported at 11:58 p.m., is believed to have started in a Chinese takeout restaurant in a building housing four businesses along Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, officials said.
