Riverhead High School wrestler Ed Matyka was recently honored after breaking the 100th win mark, becoming the Suffolk County Wrestling Champ, placing fourth at the New York State Championships and placing fifth at the Nationals earning the title of All American, which is attributed to the top eight wrestlers at this event. Yeimy Pichardo-Cruz was driving a 2002 Acura SUV making a left turn out of a parking lot to travel east on Oak Street when her vehicle struck a pedestrian that was crossing Oak Street at approximately 9:30 a.m. The pedestrian, Lora Rohner, 52, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in Bethpage where she was pronounced dead.
