A bass drum, a snare drum and a drum harness were among the items taken in Ronkonkoma sometime between Aug. 12 and Aug. 13, 2013, when thieves broke into an SUV owned by a member of the Long Ireland Pipes & Drums band, Suffolk County police said Thursday in a crime alert.
